Make A Note - On Sunday, October 14....
I will be co - leading a nice hike with Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Ranger Patti Cole. This walk will take place 11 AM Sunday at Sycamore Grove Park, gathering at the Wetmore Road entrance.
This hike will be geared so people who might be a bit slower due to a disability or being in a chair may feel comfortable coming out with us. But all are welcome, and I'd really enjoy meeting as many of you as I could.
It's the perfect time of year for watching Nature in Progress, as all living things are readying themselves for the cold winter season. Some of my favorites of the season are bobcats, great blue herons, deer all over the place, wild turkeys (just in time for next month's holiday!) and a fine assortment of raptors.
And if you're lucky, Patti will teach you hear her coyote call. It's especially impressive when you hear the coyotes answer!
It's $3 to park at Sycamore Grove, and a small donation to support the naturalist programs is suggested. I'll look forward to meeting you this Sunday.
