Just what I need - a new way to express myself! 

This is my first foray into blogging, other than placing comments on other blogs in my own inimitable, smart - assy kind of way. While the majority of space here will be taken by trail accounts, ideas for encouraging people of all abilities to get out and discover the healing effects of nature and some unavoidable goofiness, I'll also chime in on pressing environmental or political issues which affect those of us in the outdoors - loving community.

It's not too tough to find subject matter, either. If it doesn't concern one of my latest hikes, or wildest dreams (gawd, I hope my Mom's not reading!), it's never been too problematic for me to form an opinion. About anything. Don't ask me if I like your iPod on the trail, because you'll likely get an answer you weren't expecting, given my outwardly humble exterior.

To end with just a short note - I'm looking forward to your thoughts, ideas and comments as well. A community remains stimulated by the discussions in which it engages. Here's to stimulus!
